Advanced Car Hire is a family-run 4x4 and camper rental company based at 20 Palladium Street, Prosperita, Windhoek, Namibia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through advancedcarhire.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Information we collect
Quote and contact enquiries. When you ask us for a quote or get in touch, we receive the details you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number and the dates and details of the trip you are planning, so that we can reply with availability and pricing.
Bookings. When you book a vehicle, your reservation is taken through our booking system, provided by HQ Rentals. The booking details you enter there, such as your name, contact details, travel dates and vehicle choice, are shared with us so that we can prepare and manage your rental.
Newsletter. If you sign up to Stay in the Loop, we collect your email address and, if you give it, your first name. Sign-up works on a double opt-in basis: we only add you to the list once you click the confirmation link in the email we send you.
Direct contact. If you email, phone or message us on WhatsApp, we keep the content of that conversation so that we can help you and refer back to it during your rental.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses cookies and similar technologies from Google Analytics (GA4, measurement ID G-Q5SP30PDFF) and the Meta Pixel. These help us understand which pages travellers find useful, measure how our advertising performs, and improve the website. They collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you spend on them, the device and browser you use, and the site you arrived from. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings; the website will still work, although our picture of how it is used becomes less complete.
The services that help us run this website
We use a small number of established service providers to operate parts of this website, and your information passes through them only for the purpose described:
- Formspree delivers the messages sent through our quote and contact forms to our inbox.
- Brevo manages our newsletter list and sends the newsletter and the double opt-in confirmation emails.
- HQ Rentals provides the online booking system in which reservations are made and stored.
- Google and Meta provide the analytics and advertising measurement described above.
How we use your information
We use the information you give us to answer enquiries and provide quotes, to make and manage bookings, to stay in touch about a rental you have with us, to send our newsletter if you have subscribed, and to understand and improve how our website and marketing perform. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
How long we keep it, and your choices
We keep enquiry and booking information for as long as we need it to run the business and meet our record-keeping obligations, and newsletter details until you unsubscribe, which you can do from any newsletter email. You are welcome to ask us what personal information of yours we hold, to correct it, or to have it deleted where we are not required to keep it.
