Yes, it is highly recommended to drive a 4x4 vehicle whilst in Namibia. 90% of the roads you drive on are gravel roads. Although you won't use the 4x4 feature on all roads, the 4x4 vehicle will definitely make the journey more comfortable due to the high ground clearance and all-terrain tires that are fitted to the vehicle. Smaller cars tend to have underbody damage every time they drive on a gravel road and this is not covered by any car rental company in Namibia.

Yes! All our rentals have unlimited kilometers.

The Namibian law states that you have to be at least 18 years of age to drive, therefore, in order to rent a vehicle from us, you must be at least 18 years old and you must have had your driver's license for more than one year.

No, we will not block any money. Upon your arrival at our office, we will deduct the rental amount if it has not been paid upfront. For the Excess Option chosen and all exclusions on the Terms & Conditions, we will only take an imprint of your card for surety. When the car is returned to us without any damage on it, we will give you back your copy of the taken imprint.

Yes, we will then transfer you from the airport to your guesthouse (or our guesthouse linked here) and then transfer you to our office on the next day. This is all included in the rental price. Please note that only ONE transfer from the airport to Windhoek and only ONE transfer from Windhoek to the airport is permitted per rental.

Seeing that you send us your arrival details once confirming the booking, we will then immediately schedule your complimentary airport transfer and you do not have to confirm beforehand or email us asking whether or not someone will pick you up at the airport.

Our vehicle collection procedure usually take anywhere from 45 - 90 minutes, depending on your experience level as well as the amount of questions you may have. The procedure includes a detailed explanation of the contract, the vehicle and all it's functions (e.g. 4x4) as well as the camping equipment.

It's approximately a 45 minute drive from WDH airport.

If you're driver's license is in english and has a photo of you on it, you will not require an international's driver's license. If your driver's license does not meet the beforementioned requirements, you will need an international driver's license.

We would only recommend renting/buying a satellite phone if you are planning on travelling to southern africa's most remote areas. Namibia has approximately 90% cell coverage and has cell coverage on most common touristic and travel routes and therefore a satellite phone will not be neccesary in most areas. We would recommend buying a mobile sim card at MTC.

Yes, our T's & C's apply in all neighbouring countries except for Angola.

The fridge is powered in the following ways:

- While driving: The fridge is powered by the car battery. You do not have to worry about the battery dying or if the car is not going to start if you only power the fridge while driving.

- While not driving/camping: The fridge is powered by a long and convenient power cable we supply you to plug into the power source at your campsite. This way you are 100% sure you will have no battery issues while on your adventure.
