Understanding Your Vehicle Damage Waiver & Excess Options
We want your rental experience to be smooth and worry-free — here’s how our Excess Waiver works, what’s included, and your optional upgrades.
About Our Damage Waiver Policy
At Advanced Car Hire, we don’t offer insurance (as we are not a licensed insurance provider). Instead, we offer an Excess Waiver, which means:

If you follow the rules outlined in our Terms & Conditions, we waive our right to charge you for certain types of vehicle damage.

Because this is not traditional insurance, there are important exclusions — especially in cases of negligence or reckless driving. The vehicle remains our property, and you’re responsible for looking after it during the rental.

That said, if you:
✅ Use the vehicle as intended
✅ Drive within the speed limits
✅ Treat it as if it were your own

—we’re confident you’ll have a trouble-free experience.
Tyre & Glass Waiver – Included at No Extra Cost
We automatically include a Tyre and Glass Waiver with every rental. This means:

-
You won’t be charged for the first damage to windows or windscreens
-
We cover up to two damaged tyres free of charge
In our experience, careful driving makes additional damage highly unlikely.
Optional: Zero Excess Coverage
To reduce your excess liability to zero, we offer a Zero Excess upgrade for N$ 349.00 per day.

This option is available for all our vehicle models.

Without Zero Excess, your standard liability is
N$45,000.00 for all models.

If you prefer full coverage, we recommend arranging travel insurance through your credit card provider or personal insurer.
Please note:
You remain liable under the rental agreement. You may claim reimbursement from your travel insurer if damage occurs
